“Let’s Get Free,” by the People’s Paper Co-op (PPC) made in collaboration with Katie Kaplan in 2022. Featuring PPC fellow Ivy Johnson, the print raised money to pay for billboards across PA created by the PPC and Lets Get Free. This multi layered screenprint is designed and printed on criminal records that were pulped to create new sheets of handmade paper.
The billboard was placed around the state of Pennsylvania including Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and along the PA Turnpike. Tameka Flowers, Charmaine Pfender and Sarita Miller who are featured on the billboard are all currently serving life sentences in PA and are featured in several films.
