Sunflower by Javun Lopez
Medium: Acrylic on canvas board
Size 8 x 10
Artist Bio: My name is Javun Sebastian Lopez, and I am a currently incarcerated inmate in Mount Sterling, Illinois. My definition of freedom is a beautiful place. Somewhere you can watch the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. A place that makes you sad when it’s time to leave. Freedom is to be without fear, judgment, worries, or troubles.
Image description This small painting features, a robust sunflower with full yellow petals stretching towards the sun. There are two butterflies, one blue and one orange flying around the butterfly. There is green grass and a sky that fades from blue to green to orange. There are faint wisps of birds in the background sky.
