Untitled by Lulu Obaditch
For this piece I was inspired by aging women in prison, compassionate release, resilience, and transformation. In reflection on these topics, I thought about the intrinsic human connection to nature and the earth. I wanted to depict a woman after compassionate release outside of the prison walls, serving as a source of life and growth for the world, especially as an aging woman. The painting is acrylic on a 9in by 12in canvas board.
