Artist Statement: Hi, my name is Shelley. I am a transgender currently trapped in CDCR a.k.a. California Department of Corrections and (retribution). Stephen has Shelley, Misty and Michelle inside of him. Shelley is the dominant girl.
A little about myself. I am a healthy 65 years young English American transgender who loves to advocate, teach, show love and empathy to everyone I meet in life. My artwork and essays are to convey my love, my passion and dedication to all people. I draw and collage posters when I can’t get the words right a.k.a. a pictures worth 1 million words. Growing up poor, we learned in our journey through life.
All people hurt, all people need love, and empathy and compassion and a friend to stand beside them. Shelley has been sad a while. No lover for a while, just friends in the mail. Stephen lost his Visits years ago and let his anxiety stress and problems. Go free through his artwork and essays. We are happy and heartbroken all at once, dear God, dear God, what is happening to this world?!?!
Oh, how we wish, we pray and beg for mercy, love and forgiveness yet get published under “I am a faceless, voice person” who is yet to be heard. We are the child that raised the vill, see the essay show. We are healthy, we have clean blooded with starving artist syndrome. We love to make everyone happy blessed and touched yet. We are still heartbroken since our last boyfriend Parole. We look for new friends as we walk forward towards an unknown future.
