Artist statement: “I am a queer, Japanese-American, Buddhist artist. This print is based off of a drawing that I made once in a dream, and illustrates part of the text of the Heart Sutra. The text asks us to investigate the individual parts that make up the whole of who we are and what we experience. Are we the parts? Are we the whole?”
