Image description: Printed with brown photo chemistry on red paper, a silhouette image of seaweed takes on a flame-like appearance in fiery red against a dark background. The overall effect is abstract and eerie, with a shape resembling tendrils of fire or smoke rising from an unseen source. In this cameraless photo process, the seaweed served as a mask that blocked light in certain areas and allowed it to pass through in others. The result is a contact print that directly represents the original seaweed.
