Meditation #2 by Ally Shah

This painting is depicts my personal experience of a sort of inner heat and fire that is generated by conflict and uncertainty. My experience is that facing my fears and assumptions about the world is akin to an intense internal battle. My challenges in life at times lead to a sort of suffering that immensely unpleasant. To find peace with that and be able to face it is something that has been very important to me in life. I have come to appreciate my own intense struggles to find peace as a sort of beauty. The person in this image is not in pain, but at peace, even as they struggle
