Artist statement: “I myself am a transgender person living in an all male prison and we’re all much hated by so many here. But I stand up to all the haters. I stand up for all our rights in the LGBTQ+ community. I call all my art work Art of Darkness because of all the hatred that we are faced with…but I also was an American gangster and this is a self portrait of who I am and look like, and yes I am an angel. My transgender name is Angel Rose White.”
