Artist Statement: Feel free to trim the top of this painting. I don’t have access to a pair of scissors sharp enough to cut that top corner street. The painting depicts an actual place in Venice, Italy. I imagined me and my husband, John, who has sadly passed sitting and enjoying a cup of espresso.
